Got to get me some peace!

What is the answer to the world's problems?

If you, like me are not into Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and don't think that the answer can really be 42, then you might go with every 'Miss Australia/USA/World?etc ' and say World Peace! And although I think that 42 seems somehow far more attainable, and I can't even fathom what world peace looks like, I think Peace is a good place to start.

When I began to scroll through images that spoke peace to me they were like these ones below.

Still quiet lakes, beautiful colours of nature, and remote. The places in the world that are still mostly untouched, unspoiled and uninhabited.

An invitation to venture out into the quiet. To join it and reflect on it's beauty.

Quiet!

Solitude!

Back to REALITY!!!

I live in a house with my husband, 3 adult children, two tiny grandchildren, 2 cats, 3 hens and a young rooster who has recently learned to crow. We run businesses from our home so there are employees, deliveries and clients coming and going everyday. Our home is full and busy and messy and often loud. I have been known to joke that we need to do a headcount before setting the table for dinner, and at least once a fortnight there's at least 15 around the table.

If I thought that peace was only about the still and quiet, then I would never know it! If I thought that I had to wait for peace or work for peace I would never experience it.

In a world that seems to only get more and more violent and selfish and troubled, where can I find peace? Where can my heart and my mind find rest? What can I do to to remain calm in this world? True peace. Peace that I can have amongst all of the chaos that is my reality.

I have only found one answer to these questions

It is in this bible passage:

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God: and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

I find peace in communicating with the Creator of everything!

I find peace in knowing that the one who created it all is ultimately in charge of it all!

I find peace when I talk to Him about my struggles.

I find peace when I am thankful towards the Him.

When I'm in the middle of my busy, messy, noisy, crazy, normal, beautiful, life and I remember to stop for a moment and thank God and to invite Him in to every part of it, there is an unexplainable peace which takes over from the internal mental gymnastics and unreasonable self talk that can go on in my mind! To know without a doubt that no matter what happens, I will be okay!
