Shop/Uganda/Reflect

Just a few things:

I've just added a few pieces of clothing to the shop! Their individual pieces made from what I have, no rhyme or reason, just whatever I was inspired to make from what I had.

Lovely sunshine gold lace, deep navy hues with touches of gold and soft pink with striking black and white print!

My trip to Uganda is getting closer and I haven't got any concrete plans yet! Seriously, how difficult should it be for a husband and wife to spend a few hours together to plan something as serious as this??? It doesn't help that I am currently out or hosting a group 4 nights a week, then all of a sudden it's Friday and there's just no brain function left! Add working Saturday morning and some family stuff and "where did that week go???"

That being said, I am determined that we will have some outline of a journey planned this weekend!

Lined up for lunch

Is that me in there?

I am still planning for the sewing room project when we go to Uganda and I am still in need of funds for equipment for this project. IF you would like to give you can go to the 100% Hope website http://www.100-hope.org/ and donate directly to them using Sewing Room as the description.(100% of what you give will go to the sewing room project) Once on the website, go to the menu and click on 'Make a difference' then scroll to the Donate Now and click. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. We will be purchasing timber for cutting tables, sewing machines, patternmaking equipment, fabric, threads, overlocker, sewing machines, pins, needles and other essential sewing equipment.

Just one more thing: As I mentioned I am way too busy doing way too much and it really is hard to work out how to stop, how to get off the merry-go-round of working and family and church and shopping and cooking and sewing and reading and what seems like endless interruptions along the way!

But earlier this week I took 15 minutes to stop and just sit. It was at the crowded shopping centre, but I was 'alone'. The centre was bright and looking beautiful with all it's rose gold christmas decorations and where I randomly sat, the sun was shining onto some of the decorations and they were reflecting right down onto me in small flickers of light.

There I received a word that I needed to hear!

Insert beautiful photo of reflections here that I could not get in the disgusting heat today!

Reflecting.

Taking time to reflect on what is going on around me

Reflecting on what I am hearing - learning - reading

Reflecting what I have learned to be good and right and worthwhile

Reflecting the love of Jesus, the Son who " is the radiance of Gods glory and the exact representation of His being" Hebrews 1:3

Even as I am writing this I am determining to begin a reflection journal to make myself stop and reflect on what has been and think up ways that I can reflect out into this world which can always use a little more metaphoric light! I think there might be a lot of glitter involved!!!

Are you with me? can we begin a reflective movement? a slow down in order to get clarity back into our lives, to share light and life and love to those in the world around us.

Let's be reflective so that we can reflect!

Thank you for reading,

Love Suzanne
