Unique: distinctive, individual, particular, uncommon, extraordinary, rare.
You are unique! Your DNA, your fingerprint, your eyeball, even your handwriting are yours alone and unlike any other of the 7.9 billion people on the planet today.
Psalms 139:13-16 says
" Oh yes, you (Creator God) shaped me first inside, then out:
you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God- you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration - what a creation.
You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
the days of my life prepared before I'd even lived one." The Message.
As a believer in the Creator God and the Bible as his word, his instruction book and one of the ways that he speaks to his creation, this passage tells me that my/your uniqueness was planned and there is a purpose for your life which was prepared before you were even conceived.
We each have a particular purpose and a distinct personality which we can express in many ways.
One of the ways we express our uniqueness everyday is in the way we dress.
If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that part of my unique purpose and desire is to clothe women with confidence. To be a part of helping them become their best confident person by helping them find fashion styling that they love to wear. I realise there is more to it than just clothes, but this is my small part of the whole.
There are eight dress designs now available within my SuzziMaggs Collections and I would like to show you some of the many ways that they can be styled to your individual taste.
The Daffodil Dress
This soft cotton voile dress is so light for the hottest days. Wear it alone, with a belt or sash or layer it up with the Daisy Dress, Ivy Top, Blossom Jacket Top or a gorgeous vintage lace top for a special occasion.
The Daisy Dress
This loose dress also in soft cotton voile can be worn alone, belted or sashed and layered with another Daisy dress in a contrasting colour, Layered over other pieces like the Poppy Pants and matching Ivy Top or underneath the new Grace coat.
The Tulip Dress
A simple cotton/linen blend dress which features a scoop hemline and can be worn plain or cinched in with a belt or sash. Add your favourite cardigan or the Blossom Top over the top for added colour and style, or underlay it with the Daffodil Dress for a longer look.
The Smoky Wrap Dress
This Dress is pretty much a stand alone design, however I have found it to be so convenient to throw on over tights and a T-shirt or my swimmers to go from home to the beach or shops/markets feeling well dressed. It's the quick cover up!
The New Shoots Pinidress
This Pinidress can be worn with a short or long sleeved T-shirt, the Cinders Blouse or the Ash Blouse (or any blouse of your choice) It also looks great as a twin set with the Restoration Coat in the same colour.
The Light Dress
This dress from the latest collection can be worn plain or with a belt or sash. It can be worn open over swimwear or shorts and a singlet top or add a crochet vest over the top for a beachy boho look. It has 3 neckline and 3 sleeve style choices.
The Good Dress
Another stand alone style that can be worn loose or belted. This, like all of my collections comes in several colour choices and also sleeve length options and neckline style choices.
The Glad Dress
An A-line dress that is designed to be worn loose, but can also be belted. Layer over it with a Daisy Dress or the Grace Coat or you could try a shirt over the top tied at the waist.
This is just some of my ideas and suggestions on the ways that you can style my eight dresses. I hope that they inspire you to get creative with your own wardrobe, and maybe order something from the SuzziMaggs collection which I will hand make to your specific body measurements to add to your unique styling preferences.
