As I am ever so slowly growing my tiny business, more of you are subscribing to my website.
Thank you!

I want to use this blog space to share my ideas and hopefully write posts that will encourage, uplift and inspire the readers.
While thinking about writing this post I began by going back to look over some of my posts from when I was blogging regularly a few years back, looking for inspiration or a direction in which to write. I came across post 59. Know You, which was a part of a small series I wrote called the YOU series.
On that particular blog I wrote 50 questions for the readers to ask themselves in order to get to know themself better. And on this blog post I am going to answer those fifty questions about myself so that you, my reader can know a bit about me, the writer.

I hope this doesn’t come across as conceited as that is far from my intention. It is more about giving you more information about who you are subscribing to, booking classes with and purchasing from. So you feel like you know me just a little bit.
So here goes…..
What is your favourite time of the day? Why? The morning, after my first sip of coffee while I sit in a quiet place to read, pray and contemplate the day ahead.
Are you and early riser or a stay up late person? As much as I would love to be an early riser, I am definitely a stay up late person.
Are you energised by spending time with people or time alone? I love spending time with people, but find it can zap my energy. I always treasure time alone to re-energise.
Do you like cities, the outback, farms, the wilderness or beaches? Why? I love to visit them all but the beach is my favourite place to be always. I love the smell of the sea air, treasure hunting for shells and other bits washed up on the shore, and I feel so refreshed when I dive under a wave at any time of the year.
Do you enjoy crowded events like concerts? I like crowds less and less, but will endure them for a good concert or other event.
Do you prefer quiet places like libraries and galleries? Yes
Do you like having lots of friends or just a few? I think I am better at having the few than lots.
What is your favourite thing to do with friends or family? Just gather for a meal or to celebrate a special occasion.
Are you spontaneous, or do you like to plan? I think I can do both, but probably err on the side of planning.
What is your current favourite holiday destination? Why? There are two… The first is a tiny town on the south coast of NSW called South Durras because to go there means a restful holiday and the other is anywhere in the world that I haven’t yet visited, because I want to see it all!
Where would you like to travel to? Refer to last question hahaha! But top of my list at the moment are Scotland, Ireland and Greece.
Where is your current favourite place to be in, or around your home? My side yard where I have just been planting lots of flowering plants. The pansies are delightful and the poor things only get a couple of days before I pluck them from their stems and put them in a flower press.
Where would you love to live? The Netherlands, Italy, the Cook Islands or anywhere with a sandy beach and waves that crash against some rocks.
Who is your greatest role model? Jesus, who seemed to be able to love everyone no matter their actions and also knew exactly what to say and do all of the time.
Who would you love to meet? Bob Goff, Francis Chan, Coco Chanel, my great, great grandparents….
Is there a T.V./book/movie character that you can relate to? How? No, but I feel more like the support role than the main character in most scenarios.
Do you like bright or subtle colours? I like all colours, but am often attracted to brights.
What is your favourite colour? Always Purple

Squares or circles? Circles
Dogs, cats, birds or other? Other - Sea creatures, especially seahorses and octopuses.
Eating out, or cooking for yourself? Eating out - I am so tired of cooking!
Do you have a favourite food? Not really, I like it all and that is a problem! Hahaha
Do you have a favourite place to eat? No, but a cafe with a view of the ocean is always good.
Are you sporty? What is your favourite sport to get involved in? Not sporty, but love swimming and walking, although I don’t currently do enough of either.
Are you creative? Yes
How do you express your creativity? Designing, sewing, painting, journal making, writing, poetry, embroidery, flower drying and pressing and more.
Do you like making people laugh? Yes

Are you a spender or saver? Bit of both
Do you enjoy shopping? What for? Not really unless I know what I am shopping for. I enjoy when I find the perfect gift for someone.
Are you good at making decisions? Usually
Do you think that you are brave? Sometimes, unless it involves confined spaces.
Do you have a hobby? All the arts and crafts, plus the newly added hobby of growing flowers.
What would you love to learn more about? The meaning of the words in the Bible
Are you in your dream job or career? Not exactly, I was always going to be a fashion designer, which I do get to do, but not like I dreamed I might.
Do you have a bucket list? No
What activities bring you joy? Spending time with family, travelling, beaching, writing poetry.
What do you always look forward to? Planning events like special birthday parties and church events, travelling, catching up with friends and family who I don't see very often.
Do you have a favourite fashion trend, style or era? No, I like aspects of them all and go around in cycles of which is my current favourite.
Do you spend a lot of time getting dressed and ready in the morning? Not usually, unless I am doing something new or going somewhere special, or I'm a bit anxious about my day.
Do you wear make-up? Yes, but not everyday
Do you spend a lot of time doing your hair? Not on the daily, but due to having dreadlocks, when I wash them (about every 5 days) I need to palm roll them and that takes a bit of time.

Do you like frills, gathers and flounces? Yes, but not always on me.
Do you prefer smooth simple lines on your clothes? Sometimes
Do you like loose fitted clothes? Yes, but for me they still need to have some shaping into the waist.
What do you like about your body? Why? My hands because they allow me to do all the crafting and also hold my family close.
What would you like to change or improve about yourself? My current fitness level
Are you spiritual? Yes I think so. I am pursuing a relationship with Creator God and his Son, Jesus through Holy Spirit.
Do you enjoy deep conversation or deep thought? Yes both
What are you afraid of? Not ever leaving this place (which I love) and experiencing living somewhere else.
How do you feel that you contribute to the world around you? I am trying to do my tiny part in stopping fashion waste by using what I have, not purchasing new garments, upcycling, mending and recycling. I also try to support our friends in Uganda with their organisation to help vulnerable children. 100%hoPE Uganda.
There you have it, fifty things about me, Suzanne of SuzziMaggs. I am no one special, I just hope this helps you to know and trust me as you connect with classes and purchase items from the website.
Why not try answering these fifty questions for yourself? Are we similar or different? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks for reading, I really appreciate you.
Love, Suzanne
